Philips SM30 and SM40 upgrades
The Philips SM30 and SM40 are legacy public address systems,
originally manufactured and sold worldwide by Philips Communications
and Security Inc (Philips CSI).
In 2002, Robert Bosch GmbH acquired Philips CSI and since
that time Bosch have gradually rebranded and developed the
Philips CSI product range into the current range of Plena
and Praesideo public address systems.
Bosch evergreen policy
While many older Philips products such as the SM30, SM40 systems
and SQ40 and SQ45 amplifiers are no longer manufactured, Bosch's
evergreen policy ensures that owners of legacy products are
able to use items from the current Bosch public address range
to replace and upgrade their existing Philips installations.
